The Nuclear Waste Program in the Earth Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory focuses on evaluating hte feasibility of geologic disposal of nuclear waste generated by civilian nuclear reactors. Our scientists perform site characterizations and performance assessment work at the Yucca Mountain Site in Nevada. Scientists also perform reserach related to actinide and solute transport at the waste site.
